What to confirm before approving a private-label silk sample

A sample is most useful when the approval points are written down. Start with the product direction, intended market and approximate quantity.

Review the fabric composition and momme, the finished dimensions, the seam or edge finish, elastic or closure, logo placement and care information. If the product is part of a set, check every component separately and then review the assembled pack.

Record any changes against the sample. The approved version should become the production reference for the next stage.
