Confirm fiber composition, fabric weight and the feel of the seam against hair. Review surface finish and how the fabric behaves when the rod bends.
Core material, flexibility & firmness
Specify the proposed filling separately. Review bend recovery, firmness, shape retention and whether the chosen core tolerates the intended care method.
Rod length & diameter
Give dimensions with units and define how they are measured. Consider usable wrapping length, end finishing and the intended hair length together.
End construction & fastening
Inspect both ends, the covering seam and the scrunchie contact points. Agree whether any additional fastening accessory is needed; it is not assumed to be included.

Use the sample to understand comfort and handling. Different hair and techniques can produce different results.

Describe the intended hair length, volume and texture. Check whether the usable rod length accommodates the planned sections and how the ends are secured.
Position & pressure
Try the intended wearing position. Review bulk, pressure and movement rather than assuming a softer-looking rod will be comfortable.
Results & customer instructions
Run user trials on the approved sample. Record the technique and conditions used before making claims about hold time or styling results. Do not promise identical curls for every hair type.
Care & storage
Confirm care for both the cover and core. Agree drying and storage instructions with the final construction, rather than applying silk-fabric care to the whole rod automatically.
